2022 NJSCA FALL CONFERENCE

Over 300 School Counselors from across the state joined the October 6 & 7th fall conference in Edison, NJ!

Fall Conference Highlights Included…

NJSCA President, Cindy Povall, Professional Recognition Co-Chair, Amy Lombardo, and President-Elect Jason Sabino present Nancy Reyes with the 2022 New Jersey School Counselor of the Year Award at the fall conference. Nancy will represent New Jersey at the ASCA SCOY Gala, scheduled for February in Washington, D.C.


Pictured at the NJSCA Fall Conference on October 8, 2021, the NJSCA Legislative Committee has worked tirelessly to help support Assemblywoman Angela V. McKnight’s bill to define the role of a school counselor, ensure school counseling services for all of New Jersey’s public school students, and to establish representation and advocacy with the NJDOE. Dana Karas, NJSCA Awards Chair, presents Jillian Shadis with the 2021 New Jersey School Counselor of the Year Award at the fall conference. Jillian will represent New Jersey at the ASCA SCOY Gala, tentatively scheduled for February in Washington, D.C.


2020 Fall Conference

Due to Covid, the 2020 NJSCA Conference was updated to reflect a transition from in-person to virtual and a shorter professional development learning experience.




New Jersey School Counselor Association, Inc. has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 2077. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. New Jersey School Counselor Association, Inc. is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
